Summer is here, go have some fun with your pets!
Here are some fun summer activities to do with your pet.
Beaches
Beaches are always a summer fun activity however many beaches don’t allow pets. Luckily, there are some that allow dogs to be on leash and some that allow them to roam free and splash around in the waves. Click here to see a list of locations that allow dogs on the beach.

Hiking
Hiking is not only good for you to relax and get out into nature, both dogs and cats enjoy hiking. Make sure you bring plenty of water and either go in the early morning or around sunset to avoid the high heat times of day. On All Trails you can find trails of all lengths from easy to hard.
Local Concerts in the Park
Many communities hold free summer concerts where you can picnic with your friends and family as well as pet family members. I know locally here in San Diego County many smaller cities have them from June through August, here is a link to them. Check your local area to see what pet friendly concerts are available.
Pet Meet-Ups
Sometimes going to the local dog park can be fun but a more intimate dog or cat meetup might be more your pet’s speed. I know my dogs were quite shy at the dog park. A pet meetup is a better fit for those shy pets. Here is a link to a pet meetup site that could help you find some fun play dates.
Outdoor fun
Sometimes your pet has been couped up all day and needs to go play somewhere like at Taylor’s Pond. Sniffspot offers a variety of outdoor spots to let your dog explore. If you live in a condo complex or apartment and your dog needs more outdoor adventures, try out Sniffspot and go play!
